The Gate’s existing site had grown organically over time and was ready for a visual and structural refresh. While it communicated the core offering, the design no longer fully reflected the brand’s evolving identity, and some areas (particularly navigation and mobile usability) had room for improvement. There was also an opportunity to clarify user journeys and better surface key information and calls to action. The redesign focused on bringing the site up to date visually while staying true to the brand. Rounded components, a more considered colour palette, and refined typography were introduced to create a warmer, more contemporary feel. On the development side, the site structure was simplified, content hierarchy was improved, and the mobile menu was reworked to provide a more intuitive experience across devices. Newsletter signups were elevated into clearly defined, purpose-built components and integrated with Mailchimp to support audience growth. Navigation was restructured across both the header and footer to highlight important content, while new pages were introduced to improve discoverability and SEO. Existing links were cleaned up, and key sections were refined to offer clearer guidance and next steps for visitors.
